Cookies are delicious.
And here's every single one we set, what it does, and how long it lives. No hidden ingredients.
The short version
We use cookies for three things: keeping you logged in, measuring whether our ads are working, and seeing which of our pages convert. We don't sell your data and we don't share it with third-party ad networks beyond Meta (which we use to measure Coppica's own ads and may show you Coppica ads on Facebook or Instagram).
If you'd rather not be measured, opt out here. If you've already accepted and changed your mind, same link.
Necessary cookies
These are required for Coppica to function. They handle login, security, and remembering your preferences (like your cookie choices on this very page). You can't opt out of these — if you do, Coppica won't work.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|
Authentication session | Keeps you logged in. Without it you can't use Coppica. | Up to 7 days | Coppica |
Authentication cache | Short-lived cache so we don't check the auth server on every navigation. Speeds up page loads. | 5 minutes | Coppica |
_ck_consent | Your cookie preferences, stored so we don't ask you again. | 180 days | Coppica |
Analytics cookies
Aggregate pageview and engagement data. We use this to see which pages work and which don't. Opt-in.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics visitor ID. Tells GA4 you're a returning visitor without identifying you personally. | 2 years | Google Analytics |
_ga_B2M10H98BB | GA4 session state. The G-suffix is our specific GA property ID. | 2 years | Google Analytics |
Marketing attribution cookies
Tells us which ad got you here, and tells Meta whether their ad worked. Opt-in.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|
_ck_first_touch | First-touch attribution: which utm tags / referrer you arrived with on your first Coppica visit. Lets us see which ad got you here even if you sign up days later. | 90 days | First-party |
_ck_utm | utm_content fingerprint, only set when you arrive via a Coppica tracking link. | 7 days | First-party |
_fbp | Meta Pixel browser ID. Lets Meta attribute conversions back to ads you clicked. | 90 days | Meta |
fr | Meta-set cookie for ad delivery / measurement. Set by facebook.com on the Meta Pixel's behalf. | 90 days | Meta |
What we don't do
- Sell your personal data.
- Share your data with third-party ad networks beyond Meta (no DSPs, no display ad exchanges, no programmatic retargeting partners).
- Use dark patterns to obscure the "decline" option (Decline and Accept buttons are visually equal weight in our banner).
- Re-prompt you for consent within 6 months of a decline (the EDPB calls this a dark pattern, and they're right).
We DO use the Meta Pixel for measurement — which means Meta may show you Coppica ads on Facebook or Instagram if you've visited our site (this is what people mean by "retargeting"). You can turn this off in your privacy choices.
